He could quite easily be banned all next season as well. Outrageous!

If true, cop to it today.

Push for whatever sentence to be in parallel with the Italian one.

Brentford got away with delaying till they were safe in the Prem and then all of a sudden accepted the charges when safe and when it would include the summer.

Would mean he would have a spell of not being able to train with the squad, but better to be back for pre-season and get into shape if possible

    This should be concurrent.

But you can bet the cartel and PL will do their best to hobble us in any way they can.

Instead I'd like to see more action regarding the City, Chelsea or anyone else PSR rule breaches never mind this horseshiit.

Geez, if this is true it is bonkers.
He must have known that he was being looked at when he left Italy. Why the hell would he continue to bet on football matches once he was here? Even as a compulsive gambler, why not leave football alone and bet on something else - maybe horse racing???

    Spot on, this.

One bright spark is that a couple of the national writers think that this won't end up adding to his ban.

But, in a season where the PL made up a rule to specifically target us (one person in the technical area), I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the punishment was to be hung, drawn and quartered outside the Gallowgate..

On a related note, I get that fans want to show support to our player but this almost hero worship of someone who knowingly broke the rules, thereby contributing to this clusterfcuk of a seaon, is bizarre to say the least..

Ivan Toney got an 8 month ban for 232 admitted offences.

By that logic, it’s around 1 days per offence.

Toney was also found guilty of betting against his own team (to lose) when away on loan (most of them against st usand giving “clearly false” answers to the investigation.

So unless Tonali had been a very naughty boy with his bets while in England, there is a precedent we can point to, to say he should have up to a 50/60 day ban at most

Most people think it'll have run concurrently as he has worked with the FA since it came to light last year.

However, the fact they've waited till now to charge is a joke.

I’d say the opposite… I’d say that given he continued while here suggests he did NOT know he was being investigated.
