    Larry Lloyd

Very sad to read about the passing of Larry Lloyd.
There has been a lot of talk about Engalnd centre backs this week, however, Larry was one of the old breed who endeavoured to make sure that nobody got passed him although he was only capped four times for England because of the other good players who were playing at the time.

He was a smashing defender and, after his early years at Bristol Rovers, he was signed by two of the best managers in the business and went on to win two League titles and two European Cup medals amongst a number of other awards.
    RIP Larry Lloyd.

Sad news indeed. What worries me is that too many folk are dying around about my age. R.I.P. Larry.

You should worry mon ami, people younger than me are popping their clogs with alarming regularity. RIP Larry, one of the old school, a proper centre-half.

Supersub6 will say there is no use in us worrying.

I've just been told years and years of heavy drinking have knacked the old liver.

    Stick or twist?

Sorry to hear this BT,can you elaborate a bit more on how bad your liver is? And can you not get a liver transplant?

I'll swap mine for BT's and I'll throw a few onions in.

The number of funerals of ex-colleagues who were younger than me is indeed worrying. But at my back I always hear Time’s winged chariot hurrying near. I must press on with things to do or resign to not accomplishing them.
