Do the FA still have assessor's sitting in the stands judging the referees performance ?
No, the game is videod and studied by a separate commitee, it is also sent to the two teams involved for their comments and then everything is put into the melting pot and further discussed with the match officials. It used to be so simple, just like the game itself, however, FIFA are still persisting on trying to get the perfect game of football -------meanwhile the game is going down the pan at the top level.

The process clearly produces the square root of f*ck all. Week in and week out, poor decisions are made by the match officials. Sadly, we seem to be on the receiving end of some of them.

VK and probably half the crowd could see that the Wolves player dived, yet the match officials closest to the incident saw a foul. Instant replay showed the dive yet VAR said nothing. A quiet word would have helped but the rules relating to VAR have to be followed to the letter, whilst the rules of the game are not.

Football in the PL is sick.

Agreed Swiss, let's hope the Championship will be as good as it was.
