Spurs get something like 5m every home game they play in match revenue.. this is what we need to be aiming for

That is the verdict of football finance and sports law experts after new “associated party transactions” (APT) rules were clarified this week, making it tougher for clubs like Newcastle and Manchester City to sign deals with affiliated firms.

Clubs will now face sanctions if they are found guilty of inflating sponsorship deals with associated companies, with punishments set by an independent commission.

The rules don't state anything about large sponsorship deals from [B]non-associated parties[B]

There are plenty of private sector business groups, who would benefit exponentially in the GCC by being associated with NUFC.

So, it''s not all doom and gloom. Also, we have to be of the mind, that no matter what the EPL and fraudies try to do to stop us becoming established as a dominant EPL club on a par with City it won't work. It might take a little longer but this project will be a success. We will win the Premier League and we will win the Champions League.

Patience and positivity lads. Persistence beats resistance 100% of the time.

I have no doubt we will be winning trophies in the future, but we won't be anywhere near PL champions or CL champions within the next 10 years

Damn Tut mate, you're an optimistic one ain't ya?

The trajectory from the take over & Howe coming in to today shows we're going to be challenging for the league in 2 or 3 seasons. Definitely in the mix for Champions League qualification.

Klopp going from the Bid Dips, Salah probably gonna leave. The dumpster ratchers will experience the same issues as ManUre post Fergi. They'll not maintain their status at the very top of the league consistently. VDV is old and soon to be gone. Allison is 31 and will be considering a nice move to Italy or Spain to end his career in the Sunshine, picking up one last big signing on paid day.

Arsenal look well situated & Arteta seems stable and in for the long haul.

Spurs, We need to see if Ange is a genuine top manager, 2nd Season Syndrome will tell us a lot more about the cowardly whites and the Aussie.

So there is plenty of room for NUFC to establish ourselves as regular top 4 contender. That combined with another 2 full transfer cycles (4 windows +) replacing the Frasers, Richies, Murphy's with top quality young players of course we will be in the conversation for a title.

The PiF didn't buy the club to sit on their hands & take 10 yrs to be a force to be reconned with.

    Kieran Maguire's latest comments:

The Premier League's profit and sustainability rules are 'silly' and have failed to 'achieve their initial objectives'.

That is the view of football finance expert Kieran Maguire, who has previously said that clubs like Newcastle United have been hit 'hardest' by the rules because the regulations have not changed since 2013 - let alone since the club was taken over.

"We all know that prices have gone up for us as consumers," Maguire told the BBC. "If you take a look at what's happened in the Premier League, the Premier League's revenues have doubled and, therefore, the Premier League's wage bills have doubled and the same is applied in terms of transfer fees so why hasn't the limit for PSR doubled? I did calculations and estimated it to be around £216m if we were to be on an even position to where we were in 2013 so the rules are just silly.

"They are now being adjusted. I think there is an acknowledgement that they don't work and surely there's a case for saying there should be some sort of a hiatus because the rules have failed to achieve their initial objectives."

This appears to be the most logical and simple way to update FFP/PSR.

It will mean that we can spend a further £110m.

Plenty to faciliate us bringing in 3-4 £35-40m players with the clear out of players leaving at the end of contract etc.

I'm sure they planned to grown the club over years, but the Premier League keep making up rules to stop our growth.
