So given that Wigan went up as champions, did the manager deliver on those expectations? I'll take a simple yes or no answer

If Wigan fans accept that its ok to win promotion by having an unfair advantage compared to the other clubs, praying that they won’t get caught, but if they do then their promotion and champions won’t be taken off them then a resounding yes.
    Success.

Not sure any of the other 23 teams would agree though

Wigan signed 18 players that promotion season, I can’t see T/S letting him sign 18 players. You are right they cheated.

I can’t see us spending very much in the summer, especially on transfer fees and also on wages. It will be a season of mitigate financial risks, if victor goes it will be staged payments and most of the money will be used to cover the cost of the training ground and nys pitch work. TS is preparing his exit and as such it will be slash costs wherever possible.

We could potentially lose as many as 18 this summer. Do you not think TS would allow them to be replaced?

Yep, what bit of money that was available has already literally gone down the drains

Anything concrete to support TS is preparing an exit?

Aside from that, do you know what Wigan's budget was in comparison to some of the other clubs I mentioned? Was it significantly more or was it comparable?
Wigan’s budget has already been posted on here….it was MUCH higher than everyone else. Hence they got into trouble.
    Keep up.

Just because there have been no positives on the field of play, it doesn't invalidate the view that some people think he ought to be given a chance next season, with his "own" players. That's it. There's nothing more to it. You're not going to disprove anything with this daft question you keep wittering on about.

And YOU are not coming up with anything that (in your view) shows LR is inspiring confidence.

    And I will post what I want, it’s a free site….

These figures are taken from the Salary Sport website so won't be 100% accurate but will give you a fair indication. The first figure is the annual wage bill. The second figure is weekly bill. The third figure is average attendance, followed by final league position.

Wigan paid out £4 million less in wages than Sheffield Wednesday. £3 million less than Ipswich Town and not even twice what we were paying out in our promotion season. They had a budget comparable to Sunderland and Charlton.

So when you say that Wigan had much higher budget, were you talking complete *******s?

    Sheffield Wednesday - £10,131,160. £194,830. 22,470. 4th.
    Ipswich Town - £9,395,360. £180,680. 21,779. 11th.
    Wigan - £6,276, 920. £120,710. 10,397. 1st.
    Charlton - £6,056,440. £116,470. 15,592. 13th.
    Sunderland £5,998,200. £115,350. 30,847. 5th. P.
    Portsmouth - £4,293, 640. £82,570. 15,003. 10th.
    Oxford - £4,182,880. £80,440. 8,463. 8th.
