Not the spectacle it used to be. The Health and Safety and animal rights brigades have managed to reduce the fences that much they hardly take any jumping. Looks wide open. Anybody fancying a long shot is best advised to open a Betfair account where exchange odds will be far better.

I don't understand the hype this race is getting.

Just another ordinary race amongst a calendar of ordinary races

About as exciting as a cheese sandwich

Two horses died yesterday and that's not using the National fences.

Yes that’s correct and it’s worth pointing out that sometimes horse”s suffer the same fate at lesser meetings at smaller course”s aswell as in their own stables.it just seems to gain more attention/traction at this meeting.!…I assume your stable lad will be well aware of this..😊.

Great tips as usual. Mr Incredible unseated his rider and Panda Boy finished 17th.

    I managed 1st and 6th. The latter paying £89.72 for a £2.50 e/w bet.

Son had a £10 on the winner at 7/1

Wife had £5 each-way [£10] on meetingofthewaters came in 6th place got £17 back [Bet-Fred paid 7 places]

I backed Corach Rambler 3 bets of £5 e-way at different prices, unseated rider 1st fence
I backed it last year when it won, so had to STICK with-it, only wish the jockey had done the same.
