    and the highest we've ever finished is 3rd. Most of our time has been spent 2/3 of the way down, regardless of how many leagues/divisions.

    Stoke were just Stoke FC as they weren't a given city status until 1925

    Forest claim to be the oldest football league club because it should be consecutive years in the league (so we have to start at year 1 again), but they haven't been in the league the longest either.

    Also nice to see the Accrington badge has been rectified from a few years ago when the EFL posted this image with it being Accrington Stanley.

    I always find it jarring seeing current badges used to illustrate the past, though most clubs were using their city or town's coat of arms pre-war - which meant some clubs had the same emblem as their rivals (including Notts and Fword) - and many tended only to have them on the shirt if they reached the cup final.

    Just heard that FA cup replays have been scrapped from the 1st round onwards.
