Mccowan said they’d read about it on a fans forum and decided to try it

So if they have read that here 😎 why hasn't Nelmsy resigned, the hoses dealt with in a timely manner and most respected been paraded round Dens getting rotten fruit thrown at him ?

Joking aside nae idea why we started winning tosses and shooting downhill first half but seemed to start during Mcpakes time.

He was also the guy that switched dugouts.......away from being able to " influence linesmen " so that boys in hospo didn't shout at him.

    Incredible.

When my grandparents took me first to Dens about 1954 they and all their friends were convinced that playing down the slope 2nd half was a more successful strategy. Slope was a wee bit more pronounced in those days.

It's more for allowing away teams to shoot towards own fans rather than slope....especially the clubs that fill the shankly.

It was players that read it not Nelms, though it must hurt some, you have to take your hat off to Nelms for identifying Doc for managers job and the backing they have gave him
