14 games unbeaten under Nathan Jones but it finished another draw and as the gaffer has said himself, many of these draws would have been wins had defensive errors been minimised.

Still Shrewsbury looked very good for a point in this one and opened the scoring when their key striker Daniel Udoh shot across goal and in at the far post.

Charlton responded much better early on in the 2nd half. George Dobson rounded the Shrews goalkeeper and rifled the ball into an empty net. It was a thoroughly well deserved goal for the Add1cks skipper who has been a force for good throughout this season with its downs and ups. Let's hope the board and Nathan do their utmost to keep him.

Then there were chances for Coventry, Anderson, Kanu and Aneke but none were scored so it finished 1-1. Charlton's safety in L1 had been assured before this fixture but it would be good to see them go out with all three points against Wycombe, the final game of the season.

Charlton goal: Dobson 46

Shrewsbury goal: Udoh 23
