Apart from this forum no interest whatsoever in social media crap like Facebook, twitter and the like

I can understand why some won’t do Facebook but there is another option if anyone wants it and that’s an email group.

It’s easy enough to set up a new email address using your forum nickname such as mickd1961@yahoo.com

I’d be all for this because as we get older there may be times when we end up on our own and are able to help and advise each other if we have problems which has happened many times on here.

An email doesn’t give away identity if people want that privacy.

I am just testing to see if I can even post. First time Ive been able to login for a while.

If i’m honest, i gave up trying to set up a new forum for us.. but im hoping when I find time I may just have a go at creating a new one for us.
My idea was to create a forum which can easily plugged in via an app. This gives you a native app like feel yet posting onto the web as usual. This would have been perfect and i’m still yet to try it out. It could be a long wait.
