    The main reason....

Why we are not getting automatic promotion is dropping points against this lot,

    Rotherham
    Huddersfield
    Birmingham
    Blackburn
    Sheff Weds
    QPR
    Stoke

7 of the bottom 8 sides.

So while last night was horrible , and those 2 home games weren't much better , looking at the bigger picture it's painful to see just how costly dropping points against the above was.

    Only got ourselves to blame

Dreadful to see it as starkly as that. Perhaps Der Fuhrer would want to show the players the same, see if they know the word "shameful" ?

Another reason why we have farked up this season.

Here is a couple of Meslier stats.

Goals Prevented : 3.88 (18th in the league)

Save Percentage : 68% (14th in the league)

I really don’t get Meslier, poor choices and certainly a lack of awareness. Gets bullied. Distribution over 15 yards is awful

He’s a shot stopper more than occasionally but he’s supposed to be!

New keeper required then, alongside left back, midfielder and striker.

Just in case you are wondering we dropped a total of 18 yes 18 points against the teams mentioned.

    Now that is seriously shocking.

P.S. sorry for the depressing posts , seriously I am just as gutted as everyone else but we have to call this out , just not good enough and I am absolutely furious that we have not only gifted automatic promotion away but the title as well.

No apology required by me, about time the club "woke up and smelled the coffee", and as they supposedly read (some) of these posts, you never know!

I likened our situation (elsewhere) to what I call the 3-3 syndrome.

If you’re losing 3-0 and somehow claw your way back to 3-3, everyone feels elated and positive about life.

However, if you’re the team that was winning 3-0 in the same circumstances, it’s hard to take anything positive from the game even though the final result is self-evidently the same.

Easy to say, but everyone would be happy if we’d worked our way up to finish third rather than dropping out of the automatic places into the same spot.

We just need to reset ourselves and grab this particular Championship bull by the horns and take control of our destiny.

I’m usually quite cynical, but if we really do want to play with the big boys next season…
