I certainly won’t hijack this thread as you’re all talking way above my brain cells, just to say that if the top 6 did leave, (the original thread) they would only be replaced by the next greedy 6 (villa, Everton, wolves whoever).

The original post was about PL games in general being played in the States, so potentially affecting all PL teams and their supporters (although I imagine that the usual greedy f00kers would be the prime targets)

What is a genuine PL supporter nowadays ?

Based in Europe i'm not sure now that many English fans still have a deep rooted history in English football culture.
Man City’s success has been completely "inorganic" - they are perceived as more of a corporation than a proper football club to many traditional fans in truth.
For me they might as well be supporting Amazon or Coca-Cola ! 😧

In France the youth under 30 think of Man City after a generation of success as a beloved & glamorous super club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus & Bayern Munich, which is a joke - is it not ?

That perceived thinking is why PL games are going the way of the original threads concerns.
Because after a generation of success such clubs become glamorous super clubs without the historic tag that mattered years ago & that rightly or wrongly in todays football market means £££€€€€$$$'s for those wanting to market a a viewable product guaranteeing huge profits, sadly, imo.
