Is it three players you need to be missing to get a game postponed (AJ, JJ …) nowadays? I seem to recall us postponing games one season when we had three players away on international duty, though a few were for U-21 fixtures with the likes of Northern Ireland or Wales IIRC.
Bets on him comimg back injured?
He will be a big miss but correct me if I'm wrong, Notts can withhold his services if they deem it crucial to the club?
I don't think they would though but certainly, there are examples of Premier League clubs doing so.
Given that Notts have a strategy of improving younger players and increasing their value for later resale, it makes sense to allow or even encourage international appearances. Having said that, it looks like Musa Barrow is his main competition right now, and he played in Serie A for Bologna before moving to the Saudi league, so it might not be easy to force his way in.

Just been looking at Gambias' fixture list.
After this weekends 2 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying matches their next 2 are World Cup Qualifiers on the 17th & 24th March.
These are the weeks of our 2 home matches against Chesterfield and Crewe.
Then next season, they have their final 4 World Cup Qualifiers on 1st & 8th September and 6th & 13th October.
Additionally if they are successful in qualifying this weekend the Africa Cup of Nations Finals run from 21st Dec 2025 to 18th January 2026.
Another reason why we may need another top striker, especially next season.

Interesting quote from Richard Montague about losing AJ on Saturday (said to NTT20):
“What I think is unfair is if you have one key player called up - in our case, Jatta - and don’t have the option to postpone a game. It’s obviously akin to a suspension, and perhaps acts as a disincentive to recruit players who might end up being called up.”
