    Jatta and the Gambia

Apparently Alassana turned down the chance to represent Gambia for the first time in order to ensure he'd be available for notts next month.

Probably a wise move as he's currently got the (sole) central striker's shirt. Disappear for a couple of weeks and suddenly someone else has nabbed your place!

Where have you seen this? Hope he's not been pressured by the club though it is "only" the African Nations League qualifying, so 2 days/month for 3 months.

Dunno what to make of this? Of course I want Jatta to be playing for Notts, but would not want that to be at the expense of his international honour. (Same goes for JoJo / Malta).

I think Jodie's international career may well be over, unless the Maltese manager changes, after his comments when Jodie last rejected an international call up.

I’ll be honest, I’d much rather him (and Jones) be playing for us.
Jones was away with Malta when Stags battered us and felt like the turn of our form.
I’m not saying that had he played the result would have been different, meaning our confidence would have skyrocketed meaning LW would have turned down Swansea meaning we’d have won the league….Or am I?!

I follow International football closely, even at lower levels.

Most of Malta's previous managers including this one have had one ambition home & away and that is to keep the score down therefore no attacking intent whatsoever. It has failed miserably.

I am sure JJ is proud to wear the 'Cross' but unfortunatly JJ is too good for them unless they show some sort of attacking intent.

Technically they do posess some decent players who play in European football as well as JJ.
