I said last June we should have picked up Ollie McBurnie on a free and I was ridiculed by the higher richy on this MB, he would have put both those open goal headers Fleming missed

The problem we have isn't the manager its the chairman. We had another crazy summer transfer window and the new manager should have been appointed much sooner

It would be hysterical, crazy and costly to sack Parker, we need to get behind him and give him our full support

Vent your anger, rage, frustration and grievances towards little Alan, not the manager or the players of the 2nd youngest team in the league

In fairness to Alan Pace he was not prepared for Der Kaiser to jump ship.

There are signs the lads are gelling and we are very difficult to score against.

I just wish Parker would use the bench.

I think we are making progress and I was encouraged by our performance, much better. We never looked in danger of losing the game and we all
know it should have been 1-0.The players interviewed after the game admitted we have a problem but are working hard to try and solve it.
The ground Koleosho covers during a game is amazing and I think he is going to continue to improve,I like him.

We should all get behind Parker and the team and stop moaning,We know what the problem is but until we get some of our players out of the sick bay and back onto the pitch there isn't much we can do about it.

The problem is that he is not allowed to keep a substitute ref on the bench
Sadly, on the referee's board which I frequent, one official says that the goal would have been disallowed by 95% of officials.
If the so-called 'push' had been on Anthony would the same official have awarded a penalty? We all know the answer to that question!

This is just a sad reflection on the way that the game is going and players are being penalised for 'manufactured' offences and, as was seen last night, their opponents are being cautioned for these 'non-offfences'
Quote of the day from the West Brom boss "I don't know how strong or weak the challenge was for the disallowed goal - but it was a clear push."
Just 8 minutes before we had seen Koleosho pushed off the ball with two hands in the back on the touchline and nothing was given at all.

If I may ask a question of you Sub. As you have experience of refereeing games is there any supervision of referee's performances. I seem to remember at one time there was someone sitting in the stands to submit a report of the referees handling of the match. My view is that last night we saw the most biased or incompetent referee in the world of football.

Vintage, I have not been actively involved for 0ver 6 years now, mainly since the introduction of VAR which led to my saying that I no longer wished to mentor young referees because VAR would create more questions than answers and would lead to the onfield officials being undermined by technology.
There used to be observers throughout the league who used to attend matches just to watch the performance of officials.
I am fairly certain that they were ditched by the PL and replaced by videos which the club provided to be scrutinised by a committee who then pass on comments to the onfield match officials for them to answer anny queries and then they are given a performance rating once all the facts are reported back.
Until a couple of seasons ago, I know that the FL was still using Observers who physically attended matches and had contact with the officials at the match and then used to send in a report after the match. These took over the mantle of what used to be called 'Assessors' although I can't remember whether or not there was an official Observer at every game throughout the EFL>

Assessors stilll operate in the non-league environment as far as I know and their presence could quite easily affect the performance of a referee, particularly in his use of common sense. Believe me, not every assessor looked favourably upon the use of common sense when it came to making decisions.

I am sorry that I can't fully answer your query. I shall ask one of my friends, who is working his way up the system, when I get back in the country. Strangely enough, he is doing extremely well but has no desire to reach the point where he could referee in the PL. He is only in his early twenties but thinks that VAR is the curse of football!

As i have previously said, I no longer really know what The Laws of the Game are and think that their interpretation is getting worse week by week and is certainly not aided by the behaviour of many players.

Then sadly 95% of refs are incompetent.
