Are we really boring to Watch ?

Some will say we are boring ?

Looking closer at our football now, the team's system fluidity in how well players can change positional responsibilities during a match has been tweaked which allows a more fluid system with players to now focus less on specific roles being slowly introduced, noted.

There is less risk involved in our build-ups currently, as Farke's wanting the keeper, defenders & all others to stay on ball - with it & off it as a unit for a reason - so boring maybe not ?

Recently talking & listening to folks anaylising footballing trends we as a team needed to introduce & use a more fluid playing system alongside a more structured playing system or a balance of the two, which was certainly not the case last season.

Currently we are now "trying" to play with fluidity, more evidently seen currently by pressing in numbers immediately after losing the ball to prevent dangerous counter attacks, detailed analytics say.
So are we really boring by drawing defenders out of position & creating overload situations to increase our chances of finding open teammates in scoring areas ?

Recently since injuries, Farke is spending lots of TA training time via drills helping all players develop their tactical awareness including above said required shadow play, positional games & disciplined overload games - not perfected yet but it's development is being noted in games analysis, for sure.

So in taking responsibility to build up the pitch playing that way our players are now equipped with better "tempo variations" which certainly suits our current personelle, who appear happier with Farke's stressed importance of body shape & angles when receiving the ball so that we're becoming able to adjust quicker to changing situations, imo, after reading several reports to which i explained was evident on here before.

If you explore the concept of such "fluid formations" you?ll discover how these adaptable structures can lead to improved scoring opportunities, which we have seen at Leeds via chances ratio, 'tho not as yet being fully capitalised on.

By implementing varying positions & movements you can obviously create unpredictable attacking patterns that keep opposing defenses on their toes, aptly demonstrated via Joseph's off ball running improvement in his developing game which needed work on but now allows our midfield to be more fluid & attack minded as a result.

For me - to gain new perspectives by challenging your existing beliefs & considering new ideas was a life changer. In giving me fresh insights into the world of understanding my health issue, certainly not easy to compound new ways of thinking but well worth the effort put in eventually, i'd say.

So, 'Boring' is the new-wave concept apparently to watch currently but not if your a developing open minded player 'tho at Leeds Utd presently, i'd concur.

    Just saying

Boring yes so much so against Millwall i switched of at half time and went for a walk. For me it might also be the players that he uses that don't have the skills to play that style. Do you rely on Meslier to lay out from the back I fear not, Firpo we all know he ain't a defender nore any other part of the ground, Rodon good at defending but no good anything else as his scoring record reads 0 and is too scare to play out so the back passing continues, Pat probably our best defender but he too isn't a playmaker. We have Amba and gruuev 2 ok mids but no playmakers what so ever and will be back to the same old. Forwards Aaronson is as weak as pee and an ugly watch. no out and out striker our best winger James more injured than playing. Which leaves Willy do I go or stay? Tries so hard but overall his scoring record is less that admirable.
For me a more trusting match day squad and that is from what we have available would be
    Barlow
    Byram Rodon Pat Wobber
    Rothwell Tanaka crew
James Willy Rama if he gets fit or Solomon
Defense would be best in the league even though i would prefer one of our cd to have some playmaking skill mids would be perfect with tanaka holding mid rothewall creator and crew as an attacking mid. Will would be perfect central striker James with his pace and probably Solomon with more game time is probably the most skillful in the team.
For me we have the players just the wrong ones he plays week in week out. I mean look at that Lb he can't get a game he got rid of spence now his playing in the premier league. All in all this manager is a fake and incompetent. Don't be fooled by our position with we are 7 points better of than last season which has quickly come down to 1. the opposition is so inferior it's more like league 2 level. If the normal ones return we will be staying put and wondering what have the 49rs done.

Technical coaching comes with no guarantees but individual development plans help keep all
players involved feeling invested, motivated & hopefully armed with 'adaptability'.
If they have no 'adaptability' then the door will be shown.

Great coaching should see players exposed to different environments within the confines of the pitch & challenges them to develop technical skills to maximise their decision making, imo.

You mention Specialist positions we lack ?
Of course we do ad all clubs do too, Oz.
At Leeds Farke's got what he's got & no doubt is asking for more but whether young, old, differing skill sets or players with maturity
players develop at different rates which all Coaches are aware of - as are the physiological impacts on their bodies & minds.

So lots to consider, including how to adapt competition via practice & to guard against any biases & injuries too.

Building a team who can challenge ?
Then the old chestnut will always be "at what age should players specialise into certain positions in any Development Phase & how" ?

Game time, ultimately whatever age with a sound grounded understanding of how the game flow can be controlled & seized upon !

Hear it all the time on here the word 'game time' & when given to a player of any age or skill set the predictable comments start to roll.

Championship club, huge expectation balancing finances "available" into young & old with differing skill sets thats got us into 3rd place currently looking to go up via the autos into what Oz ?

Agree with MT (I think ). As you mention he has a style to suit the squad he has, not like say a Kompany last season, who thought he was managing a 5* team then , he is now.
On BBC Sport there is talk of the subdued ER atmosphere at times this year. I think most fans tho are putting up with results more than displays. Promotion is the only thing that will keep Farke in his role for next season, the club is geared for PL. Recent signings are proving solid, as can be seen on introduction in 2nd half last week.
Ozleeds, what makes you think that line up is any better than what we have presently? If you think they might be more attractive, will they be top3 at this stage?
Spence has played in PL this season, all 3 from bench: Once as last minute sub, once when 3-0 up, once to replace injured player at half time

With such a predictable answer from you - can I draw to your attention politely, of a current vacancy that may suit you to a tee & give you unique access into how a football club is run from the top to the bottom for you to report on & able to give your valued opinion of too. Honestly, you'd be an overnight sensation WTF.

Based on my experiences of every home game at ER this season, it's a big 'yes' from me. Very tedious to watch.

Appreciate the suggestion, however the position is based in Leeds, and I suspect my past career experience doesn't match the role requirements. I'd agree about being an overnight sensation, although a good or bad one is open to debate!

    Nailed on for 3rd place.
Nailed on for the championship again next season.
    Based on current fluidity.
