    What about Next Season

Obviously we want promotion. However if we achieve this aim I hope we do not make the same mistakes we made under Kompany i.e. drop just about every player that got us promotion and spend a bundle on players who were not good enough. The result being those dropped came back into the reckoning on a drip drip basis. The problem of course was a fractured squad and it was clear many weren't playing for Kompany or the club. There was much dissatisfaction around the place. In addition Kompany simply hung young Trafford out to dry to the point where Trafford had no confidence in his abilities.

I hope the players who achieve promotion if that becomes the case) they are given their chance immediately and see if they can step up to the plate. At least they cannot say they were not given a chance {say maybe 6 games at least), that does not mean we should not sign players we will certainly need a group of experienced and fit professionals.

IMO we have a number of players good enough to play at Premier level so no need to spend an inordinate amount of cash. I meam Trafford's position at Burnley has not affected his international status and that goes for a number of others. I think the same about Esteve and Egan Riley along with Anthony, Edwards, Brownhill and probably Fleming but in a different role. That is 7 players and I am sure there are others who will be able to provide the right attitude and professionalism such as Roberts IMO our best professional and winner), Cullen who offers the same. We probably need to spend cash on a centre forward who knows where the net is and possibly an enforcer in midfield

All relatively true Lancaster but it was VK arrogance that stopped us having a fair chance of competing/ surviving , even when he realised the situation he still refused to adapt.

Game one I said we’d get murdered just By allowing teams to deliver ball into our box un challenged- even
Charlie Taylor didn’t seem bothered about this happening.

My worry with people like Edwards is his physicality bit like Benson ( luxury players ) are brilliant against teams when your on top - but when you need to dig in be strong and not get bullied etc for 80 minutes I’m not sure - hopefully we get to see.

Your right on what you say about last season and Kompany etc.

Every club needs the odd luxury player in their 25 man squad and Burnley are no different

I would try and nick Borja Sainz and/or Sargeant from Norwich. Then a quick strong midfielder like JJS in his heyday. That would not break the bank.
    Make Edwards permanent,keep the backline.

I don't know who spotted Oderbert but I hope he is busy finding the striker we all know we need. After yesterday I'm not sure about Edwards,
almost a replica of Benson. Very dangerous inside the box but will be knocked about elsewhere. As I have said before I would like to see Pires pushed up to midfield. A more sensible tactical approach than VK's will give us a better chance of surviving, assuming of course we make it.
What is the situation with Koleosho?

We have to learn the lesson and play pragmatically. If we try to play fancy stuff in the prem i'll be fuming pretty quickly. Everyone can see it doesn't work because you don't have the quality to do it.

We also have to recruit differently. I think i'd rather spend ?100m on three ready-made players and integrate them, than ?100m on a squad makeover and destabilise everything.

Either way just don't do the same as last time.

Very difficult for a prompted side these days.

We need 4 or 5 quality premier league players but why would they come to us when they know that there is every chance we would go straight back down, and even if we can afford their fees their wages would be off the scale and beyond our means

The other way is to do like we did last time , butt this his time buy more defensive type players and hope that they come off.

At the moment we aren't physical enough to compete in the Premier league, our stikers centre mid and full backs are far to lightweight. Bar the wide wingers we should be looking for recruiting players 6'0 and over, with midfielders in Sander Berge build

We really need to add some height and muscle to this squad if we are to have any chance in the Premier league

Simples...If we go up,we come straight back down. Don't think anybody will disagree with that. 😝👍

Talk about our tight defence. That is 4 goals conceded in our last 5 games. Absolutely shocking! Parker needs to sort it out quickly.
