    Cracking acquisitions

Whilst I am meandering around the squad commenting on our bench fillers it?s worth mentioning that for the princely sum of about 36 million quid we have secured the long term contracts of Flemming, Edwards, Humphreys & Anthony.
The Hannibal deal is also concluded with the Reds of Manchester, if we can shift the likes of Delcroix, Benson and Ekdal for good money it?s easy to see we are heading in the right direction.

Last time we got promoted we lost our loan players, they went back to their parent clubs and got sold off elsewhere. Good to see we have learnt our lesson with the right to buy clause

In leagues below the Premier, clubs either build their side on plodders or go out and get kids from the Premier League academy's, on loan. Richi Wellens was talking about this on talk sport (Orient manager) he said he signed 5 kids who have been excellent this season

A loss of 52 million quid over the last two seasons (28 million quid in Kompany's promotion season and a further loss of 24 million in his PL relegation season) to add to the debt and recurring interest payments and charges, would suggest not mon ami.

You keep forgetting to mention the 100 million we banked after last season’s fire sale. Try and keep up mon ami.

Moe and more people are starting to mention the financial situation at the club and its not looking good.No smoke without fire as they say. This from EFL Analysis:-

"Both Burnley and Leeds United head to the Premier League now with strong seasons under their belts and hope that they can upset the status quo and survive in the top flight.

However, Burnley may have to sell key players this summer to balance the books, including James Trafford and Maxime Esteve.

That?s not ideal, but there are very cheap options out there to help Scott Parker rebuild his squad, like these five free agents available this summer."

Interesting reading this as a Dundee supporter. We've sacked our manager within 24 hours of winning our final game. Selling players to keep some of sort of control over finance is a disaster. You lose the quality players that you can't afford to replace and the whole process of trying to find as yet undiscovered diamonds, or young players who can learn very quickly, begins again.
    Good Luck.

We sold a Championship winning team, brought in a manager and won it again. I’m hoping lessons are learned and we keep the core of our group intact. How did Dodgson & Adewumi do for you on loan?

Adewumi, good when in the mood, not so great when our midfield was under pressure. Would hope he might stay. Dodgson left at end of last season. Inconsistent seemed to be the criticism but just looking at our defensive record over the past 2 seasons it wasn't all down to our defence. Manager got fires most likely because we could not defend.
