    ?210-225 million

For Woltemade, Wissa, Elanga and Ramsey.

None of them is good enough.

    Feckin scandal signings.

Always felt selling Anderson to bring in Ramsey was such a weird and terrible decision. Howe should never have let that happen or was it his idea?

To be fair to Woltemade, I thought he started pretty well for us. Unusual style of player, admittedly. But Eddie certainly didn't play to his strengths. Not even as a Plan B

I dont get it - I heard that Woltemade up front didnt work the way Howe wanted, so he tried Wissa then Gordon and now Osula.
But I cant see either of it working in any way now, let alone Wolt in the middle.

If you think of any regular job, this looks like the case where the one who was at the company long enough and kept his head down all the time gets promotion and the one who doesnt fit is overlooked.
I wouldnt be 100% commited too.

What level of performance and commitment you can get from the players who are given 5-10 minutes?

I don’t think it is even that Woltemade and Wissa don’t work at all, I think it is the way everything is setup behind them isn’t working… the problem is downstream from the strikers.

But, and this is my issue with Howe, we have stuck with the same old and not tried something different.

Players brought in are asked to do what Howe’s ideal is for that position, and there’s no apparent consideration for different players playing differently, with different strengths and weaknesses… they just get asked to do the same thing regardless, and the team seems to be setup to try and do that.

    Gordon is not a striker
    Woltemade is not a midfielder

I’d like to see Woltemade or Wissa to play and start at least as many games as a striker that Gordon was given… and the team playing to their strengths more, but they seem to have been written off too quick (imo)

Ramsey is a good player, was playing his best football and then Miley returns from a long absence and he is out straight away.

Howe had the biggest input he has ever had this summer, no DoF at all. Yes our first choices were gone long before we signed someone, but that’s also because all our first choices seemed to just be Premier League players, and as much as we love the club we aren’t going to complete with clubs who have recently won the biggest prizes or can offer far more in terms of wages.

IF Howe stays I only hope he is prepared to be more flexible in terms of tactics (not just a Plan A that every man and his dog know by now), at an overall team approach and as part of that how to incorporate players into the line up by playing to their strengths of the players playing.

All easy stuff to say as a fan and not seeing what happens behind the scenes I know, but equally I know what I have seen and heard… and Howe questioned needing a Plan B at all as that implies Plan A isn’t working… IT F**KING ISN’T WORKING.

Looking at tonight's results so far and the other teams above us, it is depressing that we have fallen so far behind this season. I think that Eddie has a lot to answer for because of his rigidity in selection, formation and attitude! Sigh...

Eddie might have lost his way this season, but I doubt that all of a sudden he's become a terrible tactician. He's always stuck a bit too much with his darlings and needs to change that approach IMO, but there can be many reasons why the team is not performing.

I think a lot of the players' heads are turned and I doubt it's got a lot to do with Eddie. That doesn't give him a free pass; he has things to answer for and needs to buck up his ideas for the rest of the season, and certainly next. But maybe our team just isn't that great at the minute.

I thought Wissa and Elanga were great signins. Turns out they are a catastrophe on four legs. Key players have not lived up to expectations this season, neither have our operation in the transfer market.

Annoying thing is - we could have managed if one had been a catastrophe but both has hurt us a lot.

I just don?t know what has happened with Wissa, he got his dream move, he was not exactly a one season wonder and has scored goals in his previous seasons in the prem too.

I really thought he was a good signing, I still think given a run in the team he could come good for us. And that is something he just has not had.

Elanga, he was a lot of money, if he?d had a couple of seasons like his last one, fair enough - but let?s face it he would be at City then. We took a punt, we thought he would be supplying Ees a Krock - and I think that has been his downfall - without a No9 playing off the last man, Elanga is just not effective.

If he gets the ball and he is the most advanced player on the pitch, no one is gonna be able to support him with the attack 😆

If they can somehow coach Woltemade to be that No9 to not drop deep for the ball. To stay high up the pitch. I can still see all three signings working. Woltemade playing in that Chris Wood role.

He?s got the feet of Isak and the height of Chris Wood - why doesn?t it work 😆

Anyways, it is a two way problem.

If you cannot coach the players in to the system, then you will has to change the system to suit the players.

There are only 2 opportunities to change the players, then you are stuck with what you have got.

And that is the bit where Eddie has to take responsibility - not the players, but the system, he needs to show he is a good enough coach to either coach the players, or change the system.

He has not done that this season, but has he had the time with all the games we have to play.

I want to see what happens next season then a decision can be made on the direction of this team.

I do not blame Eddie for the outlay last summer btw, that is not his responsibility, he is not the negotiator, deal maker, that lies elsewhere
