    There's often

one team that gets dragged into the relegation battle who no-one expected to.

    Could that be us?

If Spurs hold on, the gap will be 9 points. They play Wolves next and we play Arsenal so there's every chance it'll be down to 6. Yes, I know there are other teams: West Ham are 10 behind with a game in hand with Forest a point better off and also a game in hand so they've got some work to do.

But-pressure brings strange results and if the teams below get a sniff that another team could be pulled into the mix, it'll give them a boost. And we genuinely look like we could lose every remaining game.

If we're not looking over our shoulders, we bloody well should be. We've probably got just enough as it is (although we have form for blowing 12 point leads) but we can't become-or remain-complacent.

I can't believe we're even in this situation.

    Aye - well summed up.

It's a worrying thing that was said in jest yet now has some validity to it.

We won’t go down, that’s the only real positive of this season.

About a week ago I said I was worried that we more likely to be caught by Leeds than catching up on the teams above us… think that even more now.

The relegation battling teams either have some tough remaining fixtures or will play each other… we’re not getting dragged into that, but after recent performances I’d question getting anything out of the remaining games.

I had hoped that Eddie would shine with having a full week to prepare between games, but it’s the same old sh!t being served up, even without the excuse of mid-week games to explain it.

I think even with Eddie we would look a lot better next season, with a good window and no Europe… but also question if we’d look better IF we get Europe on the back of it… or see the same again.

Again, repeating myself, look at Villa… have had as many games as us, Europa admittedly but they could end up winning that this season and then we can’t even use the ‘at least we won a trophy’ excuse to highlight/explain why we have done better under Howe.

I still like Howe, but can’t find the reasons to excuse seeing the same old crap… and for all the ‘sack this player/that player’ that I see, all the ‘it’s the players fault’ stuff… a) he is the manager and b) if it comes down to choosing between players that have cost so much money or the manager, there’s really only one outcome that will happen.

All the ‘but we lost Isak’ stuff… the counter is was Eddie’s success based on one player then?

All the ‘but the poor dressing room’… teams lose players all the time, big players even, the players will have seen it all before, and while it might have an impact on morale it is the managers job to fix that.

I’m still torn on what to think, he’s a very likeable personality and he did oversee a cup win… but am definitely leaning towards his time is done.

Aye it's an unfortunate situation. And certainly not easy to pinpoint why.
To me, Its never really felt the same since Amanda and Mehrdad left. It was a happy ship back then.
And what possessed Hopkinson to pile on totally unnecessary pressure by saying we'll be world-class by 2030 I'll never fathom.
