You do know you have complained about music not being rebellious enough and lauded Rick Astley within a couple of posts don’t you?

    Shame - English Post Punk
Circa Waves - Female fronted indie
    Cour****ers - Indie Guitar
Viagara Boys - Swedish Post Punk
Nova Twins - Female fronted thrash metal/rap

Were all excellent and well worth looking out for.

Just got to scratch the surface a bit

It seems quite contradictary to be damning the music industry as overtly woke when it has been used as one of the most substantial vehicle to oppose all kinds of social injustice with mass music and youth rebellions in the form of blues, punk, reggae, ska which persists into many youth cultures now which as oldies are not really aware of.

Not sure if we are moaning about the fact that a true protest music movement cannot break through any more due to an anadyne music industry or whether we have created a culture that is not toxic enough to spark a wider rebellious music movement?! But as Scum says there are some great rebel acts making great music, albeit not in a mass youth movement as was recognised with the above movements.
