Group games are on July 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30.

I appreciate not everyone loves the 'back to the future' nature of the League Cup group stage but it will be interesting to see what interest there is in 'competitive' fixtures so early in summer and the intense timing could develop a bit of momentum...either way a good thing the tournament wrapped up by the end of November.

Queens, Airdrie, Albion Rovers and Edinburgh City would be my pick for a draw, not that I'll make any of the games!

Knowing us Airdrie would embarrass us, or rather we'd embarrass ourselves against them so I'd rather avoid a meeting with them. Likewise with 'Rangers' but the prospect of beating them in a knockout competition is a mouth watering thought, especially given how desperate they would be to get one over us for last years playoff spanking that we gave them.
