I'm going to stick my neck out and say bar injuries and suspensions, we don't need to sign anyone in January, and we can still finish top 6, also on the proviso that we don't sell anyone

If we don't sign anyone, we won't get promoted.
We definitely need a centre forward with pace and power if Ekuban is going to be out for a prolonged period as well as a left back, Berardi is a good player but we are so limited down that side because he is right footed.
If we have no injuries, nobody falls into bad form and no suspensions between now and the end of the season then yes we dont need anyone. But all it will take right now is Saiz/Jansson to get injured or Alioski/Vieira and we'd look incredibly short. Even if just Ayling/Berardi picked up an injury I'd be concerned.
A full back and a striker are musts imo. Would also like a central midfielder like Vieira incase he gets injured/suspended and another winger. Don't want four signings but 2 of any of those are necessary to ensure our squad has the depth for the inevitable end of season suspension and injuries.
If Ekuban is really out until February, (and who know what will happen when he gets back (if he gets back), may be turning into another "would have been great if he wasn't always injured" kind of player), then a striker is a pre-req', and one who can play with width as well as target man (given recent past results seem to indicate we should have a wider attack).
Similar to Joel and others, I listened to the commentary on Saturday and thinking that maybe Wiedwald had had some kind of epiphany, then I watched the "highlights", and wondered how we managed not to lose the game, given that the "saves" made provided Norwich with just as many scoring opportunities. He wasn't good, he never will be, he should be replaced.
Not sure about the other positions, we have enough midfielders to make up an entire team, so perhaps rotating until the right "mix" is developed is one tactic, rather than buying more. Maybe a left-footed left back, allowing Berardi to play right or left, depending on the coachs preference.
So, GK and CF, then see how things pan out.
Ehh? Like we don't have anything to cause debate??
we have a solid squad when no injuries but we are not likely to dodge the injury bullet the rest of the way.
really wish we had someone in the development squad ready to go to the next level. a washed out prem player is not really the ticket.
