    England 6th in FIFA rankings

    Up 6 places

France go Top ahead of Belgium, Brazil and Croatia, while Germany fall from first to 15th place.

England return to international action on 8 September when they face Spain ranked 9th in the Uefa Nations League at Wembley.

The latest Fifa rankings were created using a new formula approved by the governing body in June.

Whilst I appreciate we have made some progress under Southgate, and we did get to the semis, if this England team is the 6th best in the world, it doesn't say much for all of them from 7th down.

    It’s false Sinkov
Nothing wrong with Southgate tbh, however he’s not the messiah as he was portrayed.
We were as I posted before a one trick pony, when Sterling didnt work we didn’t work.
Imo anyway, poor tactics, poor substitutions but an improvement on where we were.
That’s it certainly not 6th in the world - we only played what were two decent teams and lost to both.

Yes we only beat teams below us when we were 12th so this seems a bit high to me too.
