    Money Money and more money.

    That is it

Mercenaries rule. Nothing to do with the Manager. Club A offers £6,000 a week club B offers £15K a week who would you choose?

Players who come here want to be here.

Could it be worth trying to tempt some of Boltons better players to come and join our fight whilst getting paid for the privilege?

Quaner's wage will be unchanged-it's a loan. You can be certain Ipswich will be paying Huddersfield a bigger proportion of it than Rotherham were willing to contribute.

Sadly I have to agree with animal on this. Don't think who the manager is makes much difference. Steve Evans always managed to get players in despite being almost universally disliked.
At this level, if Rotherham and Ipswich both offer the same player the same terms, that player will almost certainly join Ipswich. They may be currently bottom of the league but they have much more potential. They get bigger crowds, have a bigger ground, a more successful history. Rotherham are just the smallest club in the division whose only aim is to stay up.

Yep, spot on assessment. Paul has done well to recruit the players he has - at last no big time Dexter Charlies this time

Want to be here? More likely they come here because they haven't had an offer from elsewhere ☹

We do the same to other clubs though
PW said two other clubs were after Crooks but he joined us because we are in cship
Pompey were allegedly after Towell but he held out for us
I.m sure Plymouth would have kept Vyner

Both of those clubs are arguably bigger than us but at the moment we,re a preferred option.
This assumes money on offer is similar

The football food chain mate , twas ever thus , the key is to punch your weight and sign the players you can realistically attract .

The lad Crooks is a good example of this , he could be a good un , the potential is certainly there.

Looking at Bradford City this afternoon at Oakwell who to be fair are a big club in league one all day long , you should congratulate yourselves on where you sit tonight .

They have 18k at Valley Parade every home game and let me tell you they were absolutely shocking this afternoon , we should have had 8 or 9 and we never broke sweat all afternoon at that .

You ain't doing bad in all honesty all things considered .

Forget the money - Ipswich were rubbish today, and should have easily been beaten (like Bolton), but one of our defenders made a crass mistake (yet again, although he's always picked to start ) and our attackers/midfielders failed to put away several reasonably easy chances (yet again) - that's all... and probably why we are unlikely to stay up.
