    is it my imagination or have we lost more than out fair share of games compared with other grounds since the sprinklers were put in?

    I think that you are correct.
    I cannot understand why the sprinklers are put on before the game or at halftime. In my opinion it is a pointless exercise putting the sprinklers on when the sun is shining. They should be put on during the summer months just before it gets dark.
    Nobody waters the plants in their garden when the sun is shining brightly.

    If the intention is to grow the grass I’d agree.

    They water it to speed up how quickly the ball moves, which for much of this season would be totally negated by how long it takes us to decide to move it!
