I was getting some shopping at Tesco earlier and the wifey on the checkout said, "Is this your tea?", then, "Is this your lunch?" and then when she got to the haggis, "Is this for Burns Night?".

Nosey b*tch.

Haggis pakora is the dog'z Bollix. Sometimes quite literally.

The best argument for immigration ever is the combination of Scottish and Indian cuisine.

That seems perfectly reasonable.

Unfortunately, where I am right now, Haggis is illegal.

My current lover, however, is a fine cook and will be making a substitute haggis, without the illegal bits, and improved to make it a more contemporary dish incorporating a modern version of the "tatties and neeps" sides. Our haggis will be piped in by a pre-recorded haggis piper on the old stereogram!

A range of fine, old, single malt whiskeys will be arrayed for sampling, after the feast! :D

just been reading some burns facts for my sons school homework.

apparantly he was a bit of a mad shagger, i counted 12 kids he fathered and most were not his wifes.

surely his missus must have got p1ssed off with his philandering, the more i read about him the more i thought one of his great great great great great great grandweans posts on here, wonder who it could be.

his poems were pysh though, so obviously another family connection.

wondering why if scotland is a good christian country with strong beliefs on fidelity why would someone whos fathered loads of illigitimate bairns is held in such high regard.

nae wonder he died so young, probably had the crabs multiple times over.

Did he no die of ***ually related diseases?

I always thought he did.

My missus was admiring a portrait of him in a pub one night so that's another reason for me no tae like the f@nny :D
