I'm in the couldn't really care camp about this legislation - life is short and precious and there is enough things to make people sad/angry as it is so if this helps a tiny percentage of the population without impacting on anybody else then let them get on with it. I am firmly of the view that bad people will find a way to do bad things with or without this legislation.
What does annoy and frustrate me is the amount of energy/effort/time that both the Government and Opposition Parties have put into passing this legislation that will impact on a tiny minority of people. I can't help but feel that if the same time/effort was applied to the issues that affect everybody e.g. NHS, that we would see badly needed improvements in dare I say far important areas than GRA

^^^^That^^^^
It’s just further proof of the laziness, lack of intellect and puffed-up self-importance of some of the thick ****s elected on party tickets as reward for their rigid compliance, who’d struggle to live in the real world. Virtue signalling set to ‘maximum’.

That's fair comment and indicative of how politics has become about optics and "bell cows" rather than anything more meaningful.Originally posted by Red Zone View PostI'm in the couldn't really care camp about this legislation - life is short and precious and there is enough things to make people sad/angry as it is so if this helps a tiny percentage of the population without impacting on anybody else then let them get on with it. There was a huge amount of time wasted on it & it’s fairly obvious where the blame for that lies. Does anyone think for a second that Douglas Ross or Alister Jack, give one shiny sh1t about ‘women’s rights’? The trans community were used as a political football for folk with other agendas.
The misguided goon platoon have a real problem now. They’ve known all along this bill doesn’t change anything, despite them trying to convince everyone otherwise. They’ll have to go after the Equality Act. Maybe they could flash their growlers in Westminster? Personally speaking, I think they should wheesht

Obviously the blame for the waste of time lies with the SNP
Legislation to allow something that's impossible to do is a complete waste of everyones time.
That bitch Sturgeon has pushed this crap through, I won't vote SNP again and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this.
