He had tickets and didn't go! If ever there was a justified need to pull a 'Torry Holiday' then that would have been one.Originally posted by donsdaft View PostAch, I'm going back to the late sixties and early seventies.
My old man worked in the office and had to be there on a Saturday to take the cash from the butchers vans.
Occasionally I had to go with him, speak about boredom.
Worst of all, it was the reason I wasn't at the 1970 Scottish Cup Final.
The bästards wouldn't give my Da the day off, it was only years later that he told me that he had tickets.
I can't say I've ever used Farmfoods in the modern era ( after 1976) but it's a name I remember from my childhood because donsdaft snr. used to speak about it a lot as it was being set up.
Is it the same Herds as the Butcher in Rosemount that started Farmfoods?

He only gives a **** about Boris and Boris alone.Originally posted by donsdaft View PostOh I think he gives a fück.
He expects to be able to lie and nobody ever pull him up for it.
He'll be absolutely amazed that anyone expects him to account for himself.
The type of guy who would leave his kids in a building building to save his own skin.
It's all just a big game to him.
