Some sort of meningitis that took just a few days to off him. To think of the accidents and near misses he survived in that collection of hot rods he had.

I was offered tickets to a gig a couple of years back, and I was sorely tempted, especially as Beth Hart was his singer, and Tal Wilkenfeld’s pretty right breast would have been comfortably cradled, whilst winking coquettishly, by the upper curve of her Fender Jazz bass.

“Ach, I’m too busy; I’ll catch him some other time”.

As Danny Baker says, “Don’t seize the day, seize the minute. There were some poor saps who waved away the sweet trolley on the Titanic”.

Lisa Marie Presley Deid at 54.

For any youngsters reading she is the daughter of Elvis Presley and if still no clue, Google him!

Hadn't realised she was so young, which means she was only around 8 or 9 when her Dad went. Possibly one of the first to be famous off the back of her parents fame.

Do you think the guy who found Elvis, regrets flushing the bog? Somebody would’ve bought it

It’s a surprise he got this far considering his lifestyle. I was texting one of the kids about it last night, and told the story of the always-simmering rivalry between Crosby and McGuinn in The Byrds that saw Crosby sacked during the recording of their fifth terrific Notorious Byrds Brothers album, with Crosby replaced by a horse on the cover image. Rock n roll is sustained by such pettiness.

Aye, the careerists and “media-savvy” merchants of pîsh soundbites have risen to the top. Vacuous, clichéd, and saying fûck all in homogenised accents and identical raiment, whilst trousering and sporraning considerable salaries and expenses for telling we plebeians how to live our lives. Cock, balls etc.

Remind me of the final lines of Animal Farm?

                        • I find it remarkable he’s in that position. It’s such an obvious weak spot & so easily fixed.

I’d imagine he knows everything. I canny see him using it as leverage over his own missus
