The “from each, to each” socialist tripe universally taught in our schools (and which we had to regurgitate in order to pass the exams) doesn’t work in practice as it stifles human endeavour and too many able-bodied people are content not to pull their weight. In view of the third sentence of your post, and your claim to seemingly having a superior moral compass, I don’t expect a reply.

Therefore there's little scope for engagement.

Saw my best buddy (four days my senior) buried at 43, saw a mainstay of the Inverness Reds, with whom I'd stood alongside following the Dandies for the best part of quarter of a century, buried at 49, seen far too many taken far to young.
Growing old beats the alternative.
Mebbes I'm getting philosophical in my old age (and I cannot argue with Craig Finn's line in "Cheyanne sunrise" that "....some things they seem much harder, some other things stay soft") but I'm delighted to be galloping into that demographic.

It was in the Daily Express so it must be true.

It also claimed a cabal of optometrists murdered Princess Di and were responsible for house prices falling.

I chose to believe that's true.

I'm not, and never was, an optician.
I'm sure I have explained this about 5000 times.

However, it it meant I got a go at murdering Princess Di, then I might have tried to join their happy band.

If your post is not to your liking, copy the body of the text then go to make an amendment. When it disappears, paste your old text on a new post and make the corrections before posting as a new one.
