But we then signed Stuart Armstrong who is 33 years old and gave him a 2 year deal.He will 35 at the end of his deal and McGrath would have been 32 at the end of his 4 year deal so what was the issue?
That is a fair point Rico
    I can only guess money
No idea what Armstrong will be earning but he will have earned a few quid over the years so maybe not so wage hungry as Mcgrath

Based off of absolutely nothing, I?d say because Armstrong was a Cormack signing. And he overrides established rules.

We’ve had a revolving door of recruitment teams but been a few players I think they’ve had little say in. The guys from America, the South American full back whose name I’ve forgotten. Shinnie even possibly.

Could be wrong but like you say makes little sense from the outside.

Yes I also think that some of the signings we have made over the years have been Cormacks choice which really isnt a good thing.

The fullback you are thinking of was Ronnie Hernandez.

For the entire time McInnes was here we pretty much only signed players from the uk and Ireland then all of a sudden we spent ?800k on a Venezuelan fullback that was playing in Norway.

I think it was made obvious that he was a Cormack signing when McInnes hardly played him

McGrath was not a consistent player and we really needed to improve on the quality he had.
I have no issue with us not offering him a longer deal. McGrath is another who was not hard working enough and would easily go posted missing in games.
I blame the manager and his recruitment team for our poor signings. They obviously just look at guff on their computers relating to statistics etc and base their signings on that nowadays.
A bit of advice to them ? go and watch the players they are interested in and see how they adapt to different type of scenarios on a football pitch. It will give them a better insight rather than some daft stats from an agents computer.

Jimmy says that the team "must apologise to the fans" with a good performance against Hibs.

Aye, right. I'll revise my prediction to a 0-5 scudding.

              Game day.

A win needed to redeem the team after Thursday night.

A defeat will see things get messy and the noise about the managers future becomes noisier.

I still fancy us for the points today, but all dependant on the team selection.

              Just win Dons.

Molloy forgot to have a pish before the match:

"Gavin Molloy slashes over the Hibs crossbar as Aberdeen look for an early opener."

He needs to be on the next bus back to Sunderland.

If this is their apology, they can stick it.

Half arsed football at its best. How we won two games is beyond me.
