  • Heart of Midlothian v Aberdeen

On Monday 4th August, Aberdeen s quest for our fifth league title begins with an away trip to Tynecastle in Edinburgh to take on Heart of Midlothian. The Jambos will be bolstered by a new manager in Derek McInnes and big investment from the laddie with the spreadsheet.

The game begins at 8pm and will be beamed to an expectant world on Sky Sports. I fancy our league campaign to start with a whimper as we draw 1-1.

Also on that day will be the draw for the Europa League play-off, but that is a matter for another thread.

The joint relegation and administration specialists, will be desperate to beat us next Monday night.

Both their deluded fan base of hun sympathisers and their hun loving manager will be desperate for three points.

We are apparently 'undercooked' for this one, which I believe is guffba speak for not being match sharp.

Same idiots spouting this kinda nonsense, will be complaining players are knackered in a few months when the season proper kicks in and our squad becomes stretched.

No getting away that it will be a tough game at Tynecastle, but we can beat them if we don't play Thelinball.

It would be very funny if we did beat them, as they have did well in the league cup openers and I believe they beat Sunderland yesterday in a testimonial.
Add that to a hotel, the biggest season ticket waiting list in world football AND the boy from Brighton investing into them and you can see why their deluded fanbase are away with the fairies once again.

F*ck Hearts, their supporters and McInnes.

    0-3 the good guys.

    Shinnie, Ambrose, and Topi.

Will be a meltdown amongst our support if they do beat us though.

It would be nice to rinse those yo-yoing diet hun hammer throwers but to be honest, Jimmy and the players have that much credit in the bank with me, Im not really giving a f*ck

That?ll probably remain the case for a fair while

The odds have to be heavily in the Diets' favour here, in terms of preparation for the game.
We've got a terrible record at the faded, pink bus shelter, I'd take a draw.

Until such time as we get a real number 9 striker / goal scorer onboard then I can see numerous scorelines reading Aberdeen nil.

Would take a 0-0 for this one right now.

Hope we dont fk around much longer before signing a striker that is badly needed.

Jimmy and the media have had a catch-up.

He says he's been pished for most of the summer after the cup win, but he's sobered up now and is focusing on the season ahead.

He also says that Derek McInnes is a c*nt and he hopes that we pump his new team.

Jimmy really knows how to keep us onside.

Doubt he'd ever drop his drawers if the hun came calling.

Just started listening, pish one down. I really hope Polvara gets more minutes this year as he more of a goal threat than our other centre mids. Later day Billy Stark

Fortunate not 2 down - was offside, but we are miles off it

Yengi looks dreadful and he?s currently our main striker. We could well have been 0-3 down at half-time!

Hmmm - cant help feeling weve seen this movie before.

Horrific first touch fae Shinnie losing the ball followed by shambolic defending gives away yet another avoidable goal.

Ball being given away cheaply time & time again.

Out muscled regularly and losing far too many second balls and headers at the back.

Need far more from Yengi since we sold the only physicality and arial presence we had.

Hes bigger than Halkett and hasnt come close to winning a challenge yet.

Milanovic has looked decent and the french lad has had one or two flashes, but we need a lot more and far better decision making all over the park if we are to get anything here.

I would take Keskinen, him wearing 7 and that other dumpling wearing 9 and replace them with Sokler, Polvara and Morris. No point hanging around as we are way off it in that first half.
