Agree - bit of a coup for a club of their level.Originally posted by pieandbovrilman View PostTo be fair I think that’s a good appointment for Killie .
He’ll do them fine. He’s a more than capable SPFL manager and will get them up, maybe not this year tbf, and consolidate them back in the prem which is about their level.
Killie have always been an industrial and functional team, so he’ll suit them fine. If we’re lucky, he might want some of our dross like Kennedy and McLennan too 🤞
Don’t get the animosity tbh, he did a good job overall here, just stayed too long and got given a ridiculous contract (which wasn’t his fault). He also always represented the club well.
Good luck down there Del, except if/when you play us obviously…

They've also done a sterling job of mentioning Ramsay attracting attention from other clubs under a Sevco article. East coast west coast bias.Originally posted by PittodriePile View Post

Kilmarnock's style was turgid under Wright and, when results nosedived, so did the fans' tolerance. Bringing more vibrancy to the Ayrshire side's attacking play, and addressing their struggles at home, must be priorities.

Good luck with that...

Fans have and will continue to influence the game. How else would a team be without fans? Coaches make mistakes, and if they don't change their plans, the fans change themOriginally posted by Donanddusted View PostKilmarnock's style was turgid under Wright and, when results nosedived, so did the fans' tolerance. Not his finest hour granted - or Milne’s (yet again).Originally posted by Mason89 View PostI’m not sure he was representing the club well, when he was whoring himself out to the Huns. Especially seeing as we were losing to them at the time.
Wonder if he took his wages that week he went soul searching
He did turn them down at the end of the day when the spiv King tried to get him to shaft us out of a fee so I give him credit for that.
As I said he definitely stayed too long and the last 4 years were poor overall. The first 4 years were very good though and we played some of the best stuff during that time since the early 90’s. A fairly low bar granted given the utter shyte most of 1995-2013 was (thanks Milne) but anyone saying otherwise is just being blinkered.
But then DM has always been the footballing equivalent of Fred West for you Mason so I don’t expect you to agree 😉

It's quite straightforward, McInnes lived and died by the quality he recruited.
When we were signing the likes of McLean (sorry DD), early Rooney and Logan,
we had peak McGinn and Hayes, albeit their recruitment pre-dated McInnes, we were good.
When we got into the "sign players who were decent but had serious injuries and boys that had a good game against us once" era, we were gash.
Whoever was behind the scouting and recruitment at this time, and what level of autonomy McInnes had in terms thereof, the pants we trotted out then was a sacking offence.
