The expectation on Maloney when he joined Hibs was top six finish and a push for Europe (he failed) they gave him one more game in the cup SF as through that the back door was still open for them to sneak into Europe he failed again = sacked immediately irrespective how long he was at the club as it was clear they were going down the wrong road with Maloney.

The expectation on Goodwin when was taken on was top six finish and a push for Europe (he failed remarkably) but yet he amazingly still has his job which beggars belief, irrespective how long he has been here he failed and it is clear we are going down the wrong road.

Hibs got it wrong, they took corrective action immediately, we got it wrong with Glass and Cormack's ego trip prevented corrective action being taken, we got it wrong again with Onewin and again Cormack's fcukin ego trip is costing us dearly.

It seems to have been a common theme over recent years to try and appoint a modern type of coach as a manager and I can’t think of one example up that’s worked out well. Hearts had Cathro, we had Glass and Hibs had Maloney , they all failed and were sacked fairly quickly.
Then there’s the safe pair of hands type , Goodwin would probably have been thought to be in that category but at the moment the jury is still well and truly out.

There is a difference. Maloney had the opportunity to bring in players but his club sold their most prolific scorer from under him.

Goodwin has had no opportunity to bring in players to replace those that you and he are not keen on.

Hearts and Hibs have both been relegated, the mighty Dons never have been.
