Thing is, if you voted Tory last time & ended up with the DUP, I could just about understand you being a wee bit miffed about it.Originally posted by DonUnder View PostAh you didn't qualify it - makes perfect sense now. Where do UKIP fit in they the uber Huns? More so than the DUP?
If you continue to vote Tory knowing that the DUP are a likely outcome from doing so, I’m fine with folk calling it hunnery

Complicated though isn't it. Do i have to deny my life long republicanism if/when Brexit leads back to the bad old days?Originally posted by Mason89 View PostThing is, if you voted Tory last time & ended up with the DUP, I could just about understand you being a wee bit miffed about it.

Is new club denial sufficient for Hun inquisitors?
Or do we accept politics and religeon have no place in football?

You cannot say politics has no place in football. We have international football which is made up of the teams from political state entities. What happened when the war broke Yugoslavia up? Did Yugoslavia carry on in footballing terms? Of course not..Originally posted by DonUnder View PostComplicated though isn't it. Domestic football is made up of leagues involving teams from within the same political entity.
The only place this doesn't happen is the UK because of some chicanery that went on many years ago in a bid to attract Britain into the world footballing community...and thankfully so

Politics, like religion have no place in football.Originally posted by mondo_notion View PostI love it when our vast political differences bring us all closer together on the forum.
There are clearly example where they are prevalent, but the reality is that we all should "Stand Free" from religious and political bigotry in football

I was joking, I like a nice bit of political in-fighting between Aberdeen fans. It gets the bowels moving.Originally posted by afc1903mad View PostPolitics, like religion have no place in football.

Football is an extension of everything else. I wouldn't hate the Huns as much otherwise.Originally posted by afc1903mad View PostPolitics, like religion have no place in football.

Politics guides football, and the political body is the governing bodies like FIFA,UEFA and every national association. It's extremely naive to think that football and politics aren't entwined...Originally posted by afc1903mad View PostPolitics, like religion have no place in football.

Next you'll be telling us that the Olympics is just a sporting contest or the Eurovision just a festival of 5hite music
