The biscuit tin was open, it's just Rodgers couldn't or wouldn't spend it.Originally posted by Red Zone View PostI would imagine what will happen is that if the league is still looking close come January (which I think it will) then Lawwell will properly open the biscuit tin and they will buy the league at that point with their £30M they currently have in the bank. I still also think they have the best players currently, it's just their application that is at question in some games
Sevco could well win the league which will make our chairman happy.

I'm not so sure, look at the penny pinching approach that cost them the John McGinn signing. You are right to say that sevco could win the league but I still think it is celtic/Lawwell's to loseOriginally posted by Aldo1983 View PostThe biscuit tin was open, it's just Rodgers couldn't or wouldn't spend it.

I honestly think that the Tims thought McGinn would throw the toys out the pramOriginally posted by Red Zone View PostI'm not so sure, look at the penny pinching approach that cost them the John McGinn signing. I heard from a good source that Lawell and co weren't happy with Rodgers dicking about with signings. The money was there for him. Apparently they had an offer accepted for McGinn but Aston Villa told him they would build their team around him whereas Celtic couldn't guarantee he'd start every week.Originally posted by Red Zone View PostI'm not so sure, look at the penny pinching approach that cost them the John McGinn signing. I'm so glad that McGinn didn't sign for the Tims. I like him as a player at Hibs and even more now for ScotlandOriginally posted by Aldo1983 View PostI heard from a good source that Lawell and co weren't happy with Rodgers dicking about with signings. Our style of football, lack of creativity & lack of goals will see us 5th this season IMO.Originally posted by blowupsheep View PostEarly doors and all that I know
My prediction right now is one and two will be between timothy and the huns
3 and 4 between Hibs and Hearts
5, 6 and 7 between oursleves, Kille and Motherwell

I'll reserve judgement until we've got a round of fixtures under our belt. Traditionally under Mcinnes we start stringing winning runs together from October time onwards so hopefully Saturday was the start of a good run.Originally posted by RedStarTorphins View PostOur style of football, lack of creativity & lack of goals will see us 5th this season IMO.

I can still see us finishing 3rd but with Celtic and Sevco having really poor starts to the season, we could have been up there putting pressure on them.Originally posted by pieandbovrilman View PostI'll reserve judgement until we've got a round of fixtures under our belt. The usual chat about Celtic buying our best players to outdo us has been debunked, so there's no reason why we couldn't have been competing properly.
We need a kick up the arse as a club.

Although we've had a slow start you'd still have to say we'd be favourites for at least 3rd in the league considering Mcinnes has consistently proven his ability to go on long winning runs and putting points on the board throughout the season.Originally posted by Aldo1983 View PostI can still see us finishing 3rd but with Celtic and Sevco having really poor starts to the season, we could have been up there putting pressure on them.
