I had one of those as a nipper.

My auld man wouldnae let me take it to the match ..... "Fuc king annoying" was how he described it I think.

    • I made one in secondary school woodwork class. It was braw! ... painted it red and white - of course - but over time, the red turned to pink! Never got around to repainting it, and never took it to a match because at that time, such items were no longer 'cool'.

I suspect these days, however cool or not, they would be confiscated, deemed as offensive weapons.

      • Just seen the rat's tackle.

That's as nailed on a red as there ever was.

The kids get inflatable plastic tube things. Thunderclaps I think they're called. Make a decent racket.

Guess they're the modern version of the good old fashioned rattle.

On the plastic theme, interestingly the state of Baja California, of which La Paz is the capital, has just become the first state in the country to ban all plastic bags from all outlets. Its being enforced too, with fines. Plastic straws are no more too, but not sure about cups / glasses. About time, lets hope more states / countries follow...

            • I know nobody likes him but Lennon's post match interview is good. Cutting stuff. Fair play.

I like him. Always struggled to understand why he's so hated. As paddies go he's one of the more palatable.

The attack, or rather the fabricated attack on him by Dons fans at Tynecastle is perhaps behind some of the hatred from our lot but that aside he strikes me as a pleasant, quietly spoken young man.

He was good as a pundit on BT Sport. Still a prick though

Spot on. Why he changed his team and tactics I don't know. Tried to contain celtic rather than attack them.

                                Rothes better pump them

Was it last season or the season before they put you out?

Just looked the dates of the next few rounds, offshore this round, holiday for the second round, offshore for the third round, offshore for the fourth, then home the fifth when all the "lesser teams" will be out. Bugger
