    • I only watched the second half of extra time and the penalties. I don’t think I missed anything. Serbia will stuff us in the final.

      • I was watching archive episodes of This Fishing Life about Cornish pilchard and general sea fishing in Cornwall. All but one fanatical about leaving Europe whilst our Bravehearts were slaughtering Israel.

PS fashing is worth 0.1% of UK GDP. The same as the leather and timber industries. Good luck with the tariffs and the queues of fridge vans on the M20, lads. FREEEEEEEDUM, though.

Wait...”final”? What fuuckery is this? We don’t even have to play Portugal, as holders?

          • It seems Clarke has turned Scotland into a version of "his" Kilmarnock.
Tough to beat, grinding out results and utterly eye-bleeding to watch.

If only there was another Scottish manager who played it differently with expansive football, playing footballers in their preferred positions.

You'd think they were all coached the same way...

To be fair to the soor dook, he can only pish with the cock he's got. And looking at it objectively, the players are pish, and he's a ****ing cock.

International fitba is an unnecessary distraction from bread and butter, mince and tatties Proper Mannies' fitba, and 'we' might do well to consider giving it up.

McInnes and Clarke implement the Craig Brown Book of Coaching Football very well to be fair. Even Calderwood with us and Smith with Scotland.

You come into a struggling team and play ultra defensive then build from there.

Unfortunately they don't have the capacity to build much further than that. So ultimately they look good compared to the old boss (Remember McGhee™️) but overall, in the long run, we don't really achieve anything other than not being utterly ****e as opposed to just ****e.

So then new guy comes in, he tries to take (whoever it is) that bit further, plays expansive football, tries new things, forward thinking but he's likely to be ****e in the first place or because he doesn't get off to a good start (Kirk Broadfoot, etc doesn't like his fancy new ideas) then we immediately remind ourselves of how "Craig Brown would go to Latvia and get a solid 0-1 when we needed it".

I don't think Hearts would have been any worse off if they stuck with Cathro. They may even have been actually quite good. (Thankfully they are pish).

I was thinking the same thing in regards to Cathro.

He had some different ideas of how to play the game but didn’t really get a chance.

Kind of sums up why Scottish football is so pish that every pundit and player ridiculed the guy for having the nerve to try to play football in a different way than Craig Brown would.

Ex pros who made a living out of being as mediocre and safe and comfortable as possible didn't like him, then he had Levein behind him pulling the strings. He had no chance.

At least give it up until we have the courage to actually be a country.

He has been called up,I think he is going to meet up with the senior squad after tonight’s u21 game against the Czech Republic.

I’m pretty sure he is the u21 captain but I could be wrong.

Some goal. Chip from Ferguson, backheel from Hornsby and nice finish from McCrorie.
