[Kilmarnock are considering requesting a postponement to their Premiership match against Aberdeen on Sunday to aid their bid to qualify for the Conference League.
The Ayrshire side travel to face FC Copenhagen in Denmark on Thursday night in the play-off round before the return leg at Rugby Park a week later.
A trip to Pittodrie is sandwiched in between and Killie believe, with millions of pounds riding on European qualification, a postponement would benefit the club and Scottish football and are planning to make their case to the Scottish Professional Football League.]
Can anyone recall any other teams being accommodated like this?

I would like them to explain how it's good for "Scottish football". It's not good for Aberdeen, who may have sold hospitality packages for the match and will now have to play the game in a midweek in an already packed domestic schedule.
As for clubs who rearranged games, I mind when a couple of teams from Glasgow had their opening league games postponed so they could play lucrative pre-season games abroad.

If they don’t want to play, just forfeit the 3 points or play your kids
Despite Robsons flogging of his favoured players, seem to recall we didn’t do too great last year coming back from good performances in Europe and we suffered in our league position because of it - may even have qualified again this year. So **** them- we will already lose income by moving to the Sunday which have to accept, but unless they want to offer compensation for moving to a midweek fixture should be saying no thanks

Because it's "good for Scottish football".Originally posted by Red Zone View PostThey made 9 changes today and still took Motherwell to extra time. As said above make them play the game, why should we lose out just to help a rival make an extra £3Million?
Other clubs have made similar requests and been told to get lost. Also, does this happen in other countries? Do Polish or Austrian clubs get a weekend off just because there's a small chance they could make the league stage of a European competition?

Did we not go through a stage last year in Sept/Oct when we were playing 3 games a week for a few weeks, and again similar in Nov/Dec as a result of Europe and other postponements? Tell them to f***n ram it. That first half of last season, and the number of fixtures, really f***d us over (and a s***e manage who I really wanted to do well).Originally posted by swaddon2 View PostBecause it's "good for Scottish football".

Postpone this one to help their Euro chances, then what do they do if they do make the group stages and face a situation like ours? Where does the line get drawn.
Nope - play your games. You wanted to be in Europe. You can't have your cake and eat it (but, as an aside, if that's the case, what is the actual point of cake?)
