Supposedly that’s a new hybrid pitch at Ibrox. Ball’s bobbling on the deck and it’s cutting up something rotten. Presumably they’re paying over long term instalments or will be changing their name to Rangers 1690 before too long and clearly newco won’t be responsible for oldco debt.
Shame on the ref - has done well to turn down the previous 13 attempts to win a penalty in the last half hour but has taken pity to the latest dive. Aye - they sure do look michty awesome.

Yeah was thinking the same. 1-0 is a good result for that team. They are really poor though, poorer than any team we have met in Europe in the last couple years. Apart from that 1 team who were thought to have been throwing the game. Who was that again? Did Rooney nae get a hat trick off them at Pittodrie?Originally posted by Pauldolski10 View PostHuns nothing special so far, struggling to break the Macedonians down, got a bit of luck with goal

The troglodytes are already on the teams back... wonderful
There expectation of winning world football with the first kick of all hasnt happened. shock horror
Not 1 ****ing shot have i seen at goal ****ing ridiculous
We’ll get slaughtered in the press tomorrow, this is a shambles no matter what the level of opposition.
Actually worse than the end of last season. Offsides, lack of first touch, ****e at finishing. Awful.
Surprise surprise no creativity at all. Abject dull and utterly turgid. Looked comfortable at the back for once though.

Worryingly for me, they have looked very solid at the back. McGregor in goal with Tavernier, Goldson, Katic and Flanagan with McCrorie just sitting in front looks like it will be very hard to break down for many Scottish teams. They have been wasteful, and Morelos is utter gubbins. They will be hoping Sadiq is a good striker.Originally posted by Pauldolski10 View PostHuns nothing special so far, struggling to break the Macedonians down, got a bit of luck with goal
Big point for me was they have probably about 8 or 9 that could have started on the bench or not in the squad, that depth is massive as the season goes on and it's something we just don't have.
The wee lad Middleton looks an exciting direct player, good to see someone just attack the full back constantly, rarely happens in the modern game.

I think a back 5 of Bossu Mcglaughlin, Mawene Ifil and Bus would have kept a clean sheet against that team. They should be through and i think its a Croatian team they have next. They have more depth bit i wouldnt swap Mcginn and GMS for Windass and Murphy so they may have more choice but its not better in that position. Can’t really comment on defence and keeper as they had **** all to do. The Middleton lad looked good but he won’t feature much and can see him being loaned out. Overall can’t take too much out of it but the so called “55” aint happening this year

Fully agree. Not a lot on show from SevCo.Originally posted by Pauldolski10 View PostHuns nothing special so far, struggling to break the Macedonians down, got a bit of luck with goal
Their two new centre halves were ok defensively (not that the Macedonians troubled too much). Thought Conor Goldsmith was the poorer of the two.
Arfield did a simple Job, nothing special.
Thought Rangers were weighted too much on their right. Playing Flanagan and Murphy (both right footed) they tended to cut back in and go to the right.
Surprised Declan John did not play / come off the bench.
SevCo did not create too much, only really 1 decent chance which Windass headed over.
They were lucky with the first, keeper unsighted but would have wanted to do better.
Soft, soft penalty surprise surprise. Ref probably gave it after their two earlier dives.
they do have their two new loan signings to come in, but nothing on tonights showing to say we can't have a right good go at them

Are you McInnes, looking to loan out or bench a young lad who played wellOriginally posted by Pauldolski10 View PostI think a back 5 of Bossu Mcglaughlin, Mawene Ifil and Bus would have kept a clean sheet against that team. They are a long way off winning the league, but for me they will improve upon that performance and be a sterner test than last season, and considering we did horrendously against them with what appears a better side last season, that's a worry.
I'd swap the McGinn of last season for a lamp-post so Windass/Murphy must be incredibly hopeless.
