McInnes punts Rooney because all he can do is score goals and McLeish drops thumb heed and puts his faith in a striker who has scored 8 goals in 48 games.

Holding the ball up or running around closing people down doesn’t win you games,scoring goals does.But I guess they are told the opposite at Largs.
