Life expectancy in Kilmarnock must be quite short if more than half their fans have died in 20 years.

Most of them being closet huns or tims is a more likely explanation.

      • It’s that the reason our home attendances are shyte too?

We have no teams around us either barring third and fourth tier teams with the nearest top flight 66 miles away.

Killie is 22 miles from Glasgow, 25 from Hamilton, 30 from Motherwell, 20 from Paisley. Six of the top flight within 30 miles of each other. Obviously two of them have a far superior draw to most down near Killie. A bigger draw than their own home team unfortunately

The first day of the season I was selling TRF at the gate to the carpark behind the South. Every second bus that pulled in (signing the billy boys more often than not) was from Kilwinning, Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Darvel masses from Ayrshire. Id go as far as saying more than were from Glasgow. Killie don't stand a chance fan wise. So hats off to the ones that do follow them

It could be argued were are worse. Our crowds have always been averaging around the half full mark in my thirty years going and we are out on our own in our cold corner

But that's life and its what we know. It winna change now. Even with our new roasting hot nae windy ground

            • To be fair to Kilmarnock, the population of the town is 46,000. Given the draw of the old firm, especially the huns, in that part of Scotland, their home support isn’t actually that bad.

Fans pay too much money to watch Scottish football. Very few teams actually really go for it so it isn’t a great spectacle to watch at times with our very own team included in that.

                  Chicken and egg scenario.
Less revenue, less quality of player that can be afforded.
To be honest, we’re not far above Semi-professional level and probably the only difference comes down to being full time.

I have no opinion on the matter.
