We as a country play to limit the opponent rather than trying to be positive and get as many goals as possible. Our famous 4-2-3-1 system which an awful lot of clubs use is a lot to blame as we have duck eggs trying to carry it out. It’s at times like this that I kinda miss Euromeister and his warped views, ie that we should all want the Tim’s to do well in Europe as it will improve Scotland’s coefficient. And somehow not getting that if the Tim’s Do well in Europe, UEFA will give them gazillions of £ (effectively for failing miserably in the group stages), whilst also arguing that the other Scottish teams will also benefit from a UEFA handout, effectively getting 57 1/2p each.Comment
