We don’t play San Marino every time.
Thinking of San Marino....I can think of a manager who would be suited to their managers role. Our very own Anchor Man as San Marino manager. It’s sounds ambitious enough for McInnes....c’mon agents, get the deal done!
Why don’t we go for an experience European manager like Aitor Karanka

Aitor Karanka explains why the 1-4-2-3-1 is his favourite formation https://t.co/s5MXyiT8GF

That guy is one of Mourinhos protégés so it’s no surprise that he likes the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Do you know where Mourinho got his coaching badges?

That would explain why he's unemployed then.

Fabio Cappelo and Arrivo Sachi went to Largs. I read that in bigraphies on them. Im sure Marcelo Lippi did aswell. (it was him or another big name italian)

                • Teams shouldn't really play 4-2-3-1 at all.
It's just a building block for how to transition.

Attacking it should be 2-4-3-1 with the full backs pushing forward and defending it transitions to 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1.

There are loads of successful teams playing 4-2-3-1. The formation isn't the problem, Its how we apply it

Cappello and Sachi are mid 70s and retired and Lippi is manager of China

In Scotland we don’t have the defenders and 2 decent midfielders who can distribute the ball quick enough and play decent forward passes. Our managers and countries thinking of having 1 striker who generally is not of a high standard is laughable also. 4-2-3-1 doesn’t suit the vast majority of teams in Scotland and the national team but we still play it anyway. No wonder we are regressing.

                          • Bulgaria v England. All this fuss about some racist chants or monkey noises. Didn't see the game so don't really know what the crowd were chanting.

England have made a rod for their own backs here. They didn't take the team off or at least they didn't refuse to finish the match.

Now if it happens again in another game and let's say they're losing and this time they do have a hissy fit and refuse to finish the game that'll look as if they're only doing it to avoid a defeat.

                            • When it comes to racism you have to be careful what you say.
Some of the behaviour was completely unacceptable and to be fair the FA spokesman I heard on the news was fair and reasonable.

                              However

England really should just hand this over to UEFA to deal with.
They have the worst behaved fans in the world.
Can you imagine the dismay when a city finds out that they are going to have to host those b'astards smashing things up and singing their war tunes.

                              • Was listening to talksport earlier in the morning. Olly what's his name, worzel accent used to manage QPR was on.

He said and I paraphrase "The EU should sort it out ... what's the point being in it if they don't do anything" 😃
