  • So we would have Darvel, Falkirk, Ayr and Inverness as our route to the final.

Maybe Goodwin might get it why we don't exactly love him

Keep up min. I posted about the snidey little fûck in ExDons two weeks ago.

Had Ayr won, they’d have been ball 1 and would have drawn the Zombies.

Ach it’s saved us all the inevitable doing at Hampden in the final so really we should thank Jim?…….Nah, me neither!

            • I can't be bothered to work it out but given that they were using an alphabetical order system with numbered balls, the draw would have been completely different.

Correct. They did introduce the Kinder egg-type system at one time where the team names were on paper inside, but the alphabet-based numbered balls system is more traditional.

A little effort to mix up the red boxes would have looked a tad better

                    • Getting a bit nippy for Sevcove at the fit o' the league.
Tricky away game at Raith tomorrow.

They are trialling this method for future Scottish cup draws

However Celtic will be in a green box and Sevco will be in a blue box

Brill .... Once again, the 'Championship' (2nd Division!! ) has been entertainin' tae follow ... Good tae see Dundee slippin up again It would be right refreshin' tae see Queens P and Ayr/Partick replacin' Joot and Ross Co. in the top flight.

The Glasgow-based member of the Vintage brood is determined (with my input) to ensure that the next generation is not introduced to Glasgow’s poison fitba. I telt the parent that the nipper should support his local team since he was born in Paisley, but that has been overruled.

Since they bide on the edge of Queens Park, I’ve said that the Spiders would be an acceptable local team. The loon is, of course, obsessed with all things fauna and creepy-crawly and I’m sure he thinks that a visit to watch the Spiders would be an afternoon at Arachnid World.

I will continue to monitor the situation.

                              • As Ah've mentioned before, I dinna follow any English team, nor any Scottish diddy team, but there are a handful of Scottish clubs I hae some measurable affection for .... most for either weak historical reasons, or little or no reason at all.

In the top flight, St Mirren are the only one ... dinna really ken why ... maybe Fergie, McDougal, Weir ... certainly nae Gallagher, Goodwin or Langfield.

In lower divisions tho, Ayr and Partick are in the aforementioned handful .... reasons? Nae idea ... prob historical, but memory fails me ... Oh ... except:
