Enlighten usOriginally posted by afc1903mad View PostThat’s not the hilarious part
It shows McInnes cant spy potential in a player because Maddison quite quickly got his potential realized after leaving
Did McInnes not think he was good in training. Hence the bench. (I blame the poor training facilities personally)
Maybe we would have seen a fantastic player if he was given a proper go. Because we didn't see a fantastic player whether it was due to being out of position or getting splinters. We saw flashes but not a lot. But going by whats happened in the short term since he was with us we had potentially the best player to pull on our shirt for many a year.
But a serious question comes out of this. Would he have been held in such high regard if he didn't score that free kick or if it was scored v Ross County or Dundee instead.(a bit like McInnes and his League Cup win). I doubt itLast edited by Pacman1903; 07-09-2019, 05:23 PM.

I just looked at his stats
just checked his stats with us.
Started 10 and finished 4
Subbed on 4
Unused sub 2
Goals 2
Assists 7(three in a game)
He only played 90 mins 4 times for us. I would have thought it would have been more. Going by his assists he was clearly capable. 7 in 14 is a decent effort. So why so little game time.As I said. We saw a good player and flashes of brilliance. Did he get a fair crack at it. I say its highly debateableLast edited by Pacman1903; 07-09-2019, 05:40 PM.

Good work on the stats. Anyone with 2 eyes could see he was a class act even from the glimpses we had - his control, dribbling, vision and shooting was top drawer. He should’ve been playing every minute we had him for.Originally posted by Pacman1903 View PostI just looked at his stats

We need a player like that now - I would give Wilson the game time to see if he can do it - his touch, control and dribbling is better than anything else we’ve got presently. However McInnes prefers someone like Ferguson or Bryson there who are going to put in a shift in midfield, or someone like May who could man mark the opposition sitting midfielder.

I remember when Maddison played for us the majority of people on here said he was pish.
Personally I thought he was decent but very raw,he is clearly a far better player now.
He was in and out of the team but it wasn’t until he went back to Norwich that we started playing well,it wasn’t until the second half of the season that we started to be consistent.

There was no doubt he had talent, but clearly he needed to toughen up and there is no doubt he benefited from his 6 months with us.

Well if you are including u21 games how about Bruce Anderson.Originally posted by afc1903mad View PostYes, against an U-21 team and having played 343 more minutes
How about Rory McArdle though?
3 in 4 league 2 games
6 goals in 6 games.
He should be ahead of Wilson and Main.
He should have got more than 10 minutes against Ross County as well.
