By all accounts he was a stand out in the second division last year, he was quoted as one of the main factors in their promotion.

Maybe he doesnae have it in him to step up from second to first.

Just listened to the interview in the link and as you say he is spot on. Fraser certainly is losing credibility and everyone can see he is no more than a money grabber. What a disappointing way he conducted himself but I am sure he will have regretted nothing.

They could have been in the press room or one of the suites in the RDS.
Plenty other options that wouldn’t have affected the acoustics.
