I've agreed with you in the past about Shinnie. Excellent left back not so excellent midfielder. Unfortunately Shinnie now sees himself as a midfielder. He has won his last 2 Scotland caps in that position. In my opinion he is not a top level midfielder at club level let alone at International.
He probably thinks if he and when he moves on he is more likely to earn a bigger wedge s an international midfielder .
