My Family moved to Aberdeen when I was 8 yrs old. My first contact with locals was at a primary achool in Tory. I was quickly educated on whether I was a loon or a quine. From memory they called a roll a rowie ?

But we never discussed rhe chipoy, chipoer conundrum ?

Ach , roll ,rowie , buttery , as long as theyre the sakty crispy anes , and I will keep up my diplomatic mission by visiting only , Chip shops. (Mind you back in the day they all seemed ro try moving up market to be Fish and Chicken bars ?

Posh Friday tea was a corn on the cob supper , with a side of onion rings. Pineapple fritter for pudding. Although I could always fair go a Mock Xhop supper too ....

A corn on the cob supper. Would have been murder if such a thing had been served when I was growing up.

A reed pudding supper fae the Blue Coral on Balnagask Road was the usual Friday night fare for us. Washed Doon with a bottle of Moray Cup.

Saturdays, if you were lucky, was a Chicken Maryland AND pineapple fritters for afters fae the 'chinkie', across from the Blue Coral. Later closed for selling seagull as chicken.

Us feel natives in Torry would have been none the wiser, but a staff member from the Torry Research institute bought food from it one Friday and thought something wasn't quite right with the chicken.

            • Supposedly had a bid accepted for a young Fulham defender, but a few other clubs in for him too.

Quid, but nae sure how it's all adding up with add ons and all that sh1te.
Some dude claiming on X that it is 4mln up front with the ret on add-ons. Surely we should be holding for the full price up front which would eb better, but fkd if I know how it all works

"Aberdeen have agreed a £500,000 fee with Fulham for Ibane Bowat - but now LASK and Red Bull Salzburg have joined the chase. The Dons have thrashed out a deal with the Cottagers for the Scotland under-21 defender and could eventually see the fee hit more than £1 million with add-ons.1 hour ago"

Assumed he was a RB when i saw this but no a left-sided CB. That'll be what 6 CB's on the books if you include Milne?
I wonder if we'll see Jensen or even MacDonald move in this window? Looks like Milne will have to go out on loan again if he wants any playing time.

Whilst it's probably better for Milne to get regular game time I'm not sure where that leaves us if Devlin picks up a lengthy injury and before anyone says Richardson, just no.

Someone mentioned cowry shells so I’m imagining that the delayed official confirmation of the final price is on account of the GBP conversion rate having to be be calculated and additional complications with the “add ons” clauses!?

How far do you push it though? If you have a bunch of teams and none of them want to match our fee, you need to negotiate. It depends what those add-ons are really and how quickly they are triggered. Bojan has been pretty professional, so there's whatever gentleman's agreement we have with him too. We need to let future signings to know that we will let them progress, unless the offer is seriously taking the proverbial.

                              • Don’t understand why we are trying to sign another central defender, we’ve got Ruby, Angus, Malloy, Milne. Surely we need a main striker with Bojan gone. Don’t think Sokler and Gueye can do the business up front. Sokler maybe 10 league goals a season, not much more. Papa lucky if he scores more than 5.

                                Still in Jimmy we trust
